See See See !!!

An elderly couple went to watch a contest for the strongest bull. After the contest they went to the 3rd prize bull's owner, wanting to know what his secret was.

The woman asked; "How do you make your bull so strong?"

The owner said; "You have to make sure the bull makes love once a week."
The woman turned to her husband and said; “See!"

The old man was displeased but said nothing.

They then went to the 2nd prize bull's owner and the old woman asked the same question, to which the owner replied; "You must make sure your bull makes love 2 or 3 times a week."

Again the woman turned to her husband and said; "See! See!"

The old man was annoyed but remained silent.

They then went to the 1st prize bull's owner and again the old woman asked the same question. The reply was; "You must make sure your bull makes love at least once every day."

The woman turned to her husband and said; “See! See! See!"

This time the old man got angry and asked the owner; "But does your bull always make love to the same cow?"

The owner replied; "No, no. Many many cows."

The old man quickly turned to the old woman and said; "See! See! See! See!"

Avoid Workplace Drama

A very good article which was emailed to me.

Drama: it’s great for the movies or television, but not so great in the workplace. Work is stressful enough without the added burden of backstabbing, gossip and strategically placed comments. So how can you keep your focus in the right place – on your job – and avoid any unnecessary workplace dramatics? Here are five suggestions.

1. Choose sides carefully (or better yet, not at all)
At some point in your career, or at many points, you’re going to get caught in a dispute between two or more factions. While it may seem politically advantageous to align yourself with management, or more loyal to align yourself with your peers, either route can backfire. The best strategy is to try and stay as impartial and neutral as possible – just focus on your own responsibilities, and deal with people on both sides of the conflict equally and fairly.

2. Be direct, but not confrontational
If you have a disagreement or problem with someone at work, you generally have three options. You could: a) Ignore the problem and hope it goes away; b) Complain bitterly about this person behind their back; or c) Talk to the person directly to try and resolve the issue. Guess which is the most likely to achieve the outcome you want?

Talking directly with someone is always the best way to get your concerns out into the open and hopefully work out a compromise. Try to bring up your concerns in a neutral way; address the issue, not the person. To avoid sounding accusatory or confrontational, use “I” or “we” statements to bring about a collaborative solution. For example, instead of: “You never get your work done on time,” try: “I feel like that last project didn’t go as well as it could have. What can we do differently next time to make sure we meet our deadlines?”

3. Be careful what information you share
It can be difficult to resist the temptation to repeat things that have been told to you in confidence, or repeat a juicy rumour you heard at lunch. But if you’re serious about getting ahead, resist you must. Revealing sensitive or confidential information (such as impending company layoffs or account losses) can only do harm to your reputation, or even your job. Some companies have very strict policies on how and when information can be shared – policies that, if broken, could possibly even result in termination of your contract. So don’t take the risk!

4. Be friendly and cooperative
While it’s important to focus on tasks and be professional, it’s a smart idea to stay on good terms with colleagues. That means always being polite, friendly and willing to help someone out. This doesn’t mean you have to say “yes” to everything, or offer any grand gestures; simple things like offering to help change the toner in the photocopier, or always greeting your colleagues at the beginning and end of the work day, can mean a lot. If you build a reputation as a pleasant person who doesn’t just care about himself, you’ll be less likely to find yourself the target of malicious gossip, and more likely to move up the career ladder.

5. Stay positive
It’s natural to sometimes get frustrated and angry with your work. But no one wants to work with someone who is constantly complaining. A perpetually negative attitude (“I can’t stand working here”; “The boss is such a jerk”; “I’ll never get promoted”) just feeds on itself, making you and everyone around you miserable. So try to focus on what you like about your job: your great colleagues, the flexible hours or the opportunities to learn new skills. And if you do have a complaint, try to offer a solution so that you’re turning something negative into a positive.

P1 walking the road of Streamyx

Hmmm, the P1WiMax  "Potong"  tv commercial is quite catchy. But the question here is, will this new Internet Service Provider end up like Streamyx ? Initially when Streamyx was launched,  the speed is unbelievable & super fast. But as the number of subscribers grew, God knows what problem comes later. Will history repeat for P1WiMax?

P1

All these hype on Potong from P1 WiMax is really interesting. But really, but if it's such hard to get through the Billing department day & night, either through the 1300 number or direct number, it's going to earn P1 a bad name !

Falken ZE-912

Had my 4 tires replaced, since they are already worn out & has been faithfully serving me for more than 2 years.

Drove to this shop in Sg Petani. Darling knew this shop owner, a very honest man, provide good service & reasonable price. Anyone staying in Sg Petani, must look for this boss, highly recommended. Address as follows :-

Tai Yuen Enterprise, B74, Taman Mutiara Indah, 08000 Sg Petani, Kedah.
04-4225688.

My new 4 units of Falken ZIEX ZE-912, together with labour, wheel balancing, alignment cost me RM700 cash. Boss also helped to check my brake. The honest boss say the brake can still go for further 20,000km. He also look at my battery. The century maintenanceless battery according to him better to be replaced if the age is about 1.5 years. Since mine is less than a year, it's still ok, even though been having slight problem of igniting the car (like engine died off trying to start the car). According to the boss, this is because, last time battery comes with 12 plates which has better power. New battery comes with lesser plates (6 - 8 plates), which explain the problem that I'm facing as day goes.

Updates :
A search on Low Yat forum, indicates Falken ZE912 cost RM190?!!

Drove to Midland to fetch darling's mom from eldest sis home before going back SP. Traffic at SP is a bit busy. No wonder traffic at KL is smooth. Guess the NS Highway will be busy on Sunday as people will resume work on Monday.

Kuala Terrengganu Crystal Mosque

Visited one of the, I think, most expensive & beautiful mosque when I was on working trip to Kuala Terrengganu. The beauty of it, can be seen best at night. The colourful lights reflected via the crystals surrounding, just make the view awesome.

Pics taken by HTC Touch Diamond 2

And outside the mosque area, there are few replicas of popular mosques around the world, I think. Didn't see it cleary though, as it was dark. The quide told us so.

But I come to my senses. Upon checking further, she has one browser running background (without her knowing), a scary website of ghost crying, head poping out of nowhere, graveyards, dark. The department had a good laugh ... muahahahahah

Possible Sign of Theft

Was in the car with darling this morning. Saw some hands & finger prints at the back windows. Those marks was definately not there before, as I washed the car yesterday night. Must be some useless & irresponsible dunggus peeping inside & trying to see what they can grab. Luckily we did not keep anything, otherwise the windows will have been smashed.

Dinner at Pak Li

Dinner with darling at Pak Li, Bandar Baru Klang today. Darling ate Prawn Mee, while I ate Lemon Chicken Rice. Pics below are taken using my super clear HTC Diamond 2 phone camera - auto focus, 5.0 Mega Pixels. Clear right ? Don't blay blay ahhhh...

I love the rice, smells great. The crispy chicken covers with lemon juice, is simply delicious.

For dessert, we have Snow Ice Manggo. Price is reasonable. We got a free Ice Coffee with any purchase of more than RM20. The service is also good & warm. Makes me & darling want to eat at this place again. But one disadvantage, compare to the neighbour, it does not have much variety of food selection.

On this pic below, at a glance, it looks like an entrance to a old town house. But if in actual fact, it's just a painting. Cool eh ?

New Scam ?

An excerpt frm email forwarded by a friend :

A few days ago, one of my friends received a sms with the message: You've strike 1st prize with a prize money of RM200,000 cash. The sms came with a contact no. My friend ignored it since he had heard of too many bogus scams using similar tactics. After a short while his handphone rang, a Miss Fang asked:

"Sir have you received a sms telling you that you've strike 1st prize?"

My friend answered: "Yes, I have"

Miss Fang: "Please let us have your bank account number so that we can deposit the money into your account."

My friend thought, why not, let's see what you can do. My friend has a buddy who works in that bank. Hence, he gave her his accound number. Ten minutes later, my friend's handphone started ringing again..

Miss Fang said: "Sir, we have deposited your prize money into your account, please check and verify."

My friend checked using his handphone and found that RM200,000 was really deposited into his account. He was euphoric, just like that and he's RM 200,000 richer! 30 minutes later, Miss Fang called again.

She was crying: "I'm sorry sir, I made a mistake, I forgot to deduct the tax before I deposited the prize money, 20% of RM 200,000 equals to RM40,000. Now the company wants me to reimburse the money. Can you please return the RM 40,000 tax? I beg you."

My friend thought for a while and felt pity for the lady. Thinking of the money in his bank account, he went to the bank. Suddenly he thought of his buddy working in that bank and decided to ask his buddy to double check and confirm for him first. Upon checking, his buddy found out that the money was deposited using a cheque of a different bank. Even though the cheque was deposited but the actual amount of money can't be transfered into his account on the same day. If the other party decided to cancel the cheque, then he'll not get this RM 200,000. My friend was shocked. He almost lost RM 40,000. Before my friend left for home on that day, the cheque was actually cancelled. If not for his buddy, if not for him being a professional or if he was scare of letting others know of striking the prize then this bogus scam would be successful.

This is a true story, please beware.
