DB2 Fix Pack Lists

The good about DB2 Fix Packs, there’s no need to follow Fix Pack sequence. Eg, DB2 v9.1 last supported fix is Fix Pack 12. It contains the cumulative fixes of prior versions. Instead of having to apply earlier Fix Packs, the latest one can be used. However, do check on the requirement listed in latest Fix Pack prior to installation.

Upgrade DB2 v9.1 to v9.7

Disable AS400 Electronic Service Agent

To stop AS400 Electronic Service Agent, issue command :

 

GO SERVICE

Opt 1 – Change Service Agent Attributes

*NO – to disable  (*YES – to re-enabled)

 

To verify it has been disabled,

Opt 10 – Work With Jobs (there should be no jobs listed)

 

 

 

 

Debug Assetion Failed

Program :  c:\windows\system32\igfxsrvc.exe

 

igfxsrvc.exe is a process associated with Intel Common User Interface from Intel Corporation. It is installed with graphic card drivers with Intel chipsets. This program is important for the stable and secure running of your computer and should not be terminated.

 

Had issue with the error on newly setup Lenovo ThinkPad. Uninstalled the Intel Graphic driver & reinstalled with the version from Lenovo Support site & problem was resolved.
